Day 2
Enjoy a private guided tour of Sudeley Castle, with tales of history and film and refreshments with Lady Ashcombe.
Snowshill where Bridget Jones’ Diary Boxing Day turkey curry buffet and the first meeting of Bridget Jones and Mark Darcy filmed the quintessential village of Snowshill is instantly recognisable. The picture-perfect village was covered in artificial snow for filming.
Day 3
Bath was the backdrop to Bridgerton, Wonka, Vanity Fair, Persuasion amongst others. Visit the Royal Crescent and the Jane Austen Centre
Castle Combe the pretty Cotswold village was a location for Stardust (2007) based on Neil Gaiman's novel, stars Claire Danes, Charlie Cox, and Michelle Pfeiffer. The Wolf Man (2010), a remake of the classic 1941 werewolf film, starring Benicio Del Toro and Anthony Hopkins.
Day 4
Great Malvern’s dramatic hills and Victorian charm have caught the eye of filmmakers for years. The Malvern Hills Natural Landscape provided the perfect backdrop for The Picnic, a short film starring Dame Judi Dench, and more recently Speak No Evil, featuring James McAvoy. The rolling hills also famously inspired J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis, making them a must-visit for fans of The Lord of the Rings and The Chronicles of Narnia.
Follow in their footsteps with new walking trails exploring Tolkien and Lewis’s connections to Malvern, soak in the stunning views, and wander the historic town that has enchanted writers and filmmakers alike.
